Wards across South Africa
A ward is the smallest geographic unit of local government in South Africa. Every municipality is divided into wards, each representing roughly the same number of voters.
Wards are redrawn by the Electoral Commission (IEC) before each municipal election to ensure fair representation. Each ward elects one ward councillor directly.
Your ward code (like 79700026) is a unique identifier that tells us exactly where you are in SA's municipal system.
